Corinne Maillot, founder of Têr d'Oci

Têr d'Oci means "land from here" in the Vosges dialect. A name that evokes the moss of the undergrowth, stone warmed by the sun, and wood crackling in the evening.

Born in the Meuse region, I followed a winding path: the Moselle first, then Meurthe-et-Moselle, a brief interlude in the gentleness of Alsace, and back to Meurthe-et-Moselle for many years. But there are roots that always end up calling you back. I returned to the Vosges, to these lands where my mother lived and where my grandparents were already cultivating the soil. The love of the land and of those who work it is in my genes.

As a private nurse, I learned to be attentive to others and developed a taste for work well done. Passionate about architecture, I have designed and renovated five houses, always looking for the right light, the right touch, the perfect spot.

One day, I dreamed of a van to travel along the roads. I couldn't find the one I imagined in France: I would have had to have it custom-made at a high price, or look abroad, without finding everything I wanted. So I designed it myself, just as one designs a house: a real living space, smaller of course, where you feel at home as soon as you close the door.

But a van, no matter how beautiful, is nothing without the places where it stops. With Têr d'Oci, I wanted to get back to what truly matters: to give back their rightful place to those who cultivate the land and who sustain us. Farmers, breeders, and winemakers open their meadows and vineyards to you, for a night, a conversation, or a basket of their products.

Têr d'Oci was born from this journey, from the Lorraine stone to the Alsatian vineyards, up to the summits of our mountains. Today, I want to share it with you: a night at the edge of a field, a coffee facing the morning mist, a handshake with those who bring this land to life… and the desire, already, to return.
